These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of carpet cleaning and related services by GRACE CLEANING SYDNEY (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to you (“Customer” or “you”). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
We provide professional carpet cleaning services including but not limited to carpet cleaning, steam carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, mattress cleaning, stain removal, end of lease carpet cleaning, and commercial carpet cleaning within the Greater Sydney Region.
The specific scope of work will be agreed upon at the time of booking or as set out in your written quote.
2. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you supply at the time of enquiry. Final pricing may vary if the actual condition, size, or scope of work differs from what was described.
We will notify you of any price adjustment before commencing work. You have the right to decline the adjusted price, and no charges will apply for work not performed.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
3. Bookings
Bookings are confirmed once you accept a quote and agree to a scheduled date and time. We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed time window and will notify you promptly if delays occur.
You must provide accurate contact details and property access information at the time of booking.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As the Customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the property and cleaning requirements
- Ensure clear access to all areas requiring cleaning
- Remove or secure fragile, valuable, or personal items before our arrival
- Inform us of any pre-existing damage, stains, or special carpet conditions
- Disclose any known allergies or sensitivities to cleaning products
- Ensure pets are secured during the cleaning service
- Provide access to power and water at the property where required
5. Access Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring our technicians can access the property at the scheduled time. This includes providing keys, access codes, or arranging for someone to be present to grant entry.
If we are unable to access the property at the scheduled time due to reasons within your control, a call-out fee may apply, and the booking may need to be rescheduled.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand plans change. Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule:
- More than 24 hours notice: No cancellation fee applies. We will work with you to reschedule at no charge.
- Less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service price may apply.
- No-show or locked out: The full quoted service price may be charged.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, including severe weather, equipment failure, or staff illness. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and offer an alternative appointment at no additional cost.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer, and other payment methods as advised at the time of booking.
For commercial clients, payment terms of 14 days from invoice date may be offered by prior arrangement.
Late payments may incur interest at the rate permitted under the Interest on Unpaid Judgments Act 1990 (NSW) or as otherwise agreed.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the cleaning service, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will inspect the area and, where appropriate, re-clean at no additional charge.
This guarantee does not apply to stains or damage that existed prior to our service or that cannot be removed using standard professional cleaning methods.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation:
- Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the cost of re-supplying the service or the amount paid for the service, whichever is lower.
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or damage to items not directly related to the cleaning service.
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage to carpets, upholstery, or property that was not caused by our negligence.
- We are not liable for stains or marks that cannot be removed using professional cleaning methods, despite our best efforts.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
10. Insurance
We maintain public liability insurance. In the event of damage caused by our negligence during the provision of services, please notify us within 24 hours with details and photographic evidence where possible.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, fires, pandemics, government restrictions, power outages, or supplier failures. We will notify you as soon as practicable and work to reschedule affected services.
12. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising from these Terms or our services.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
